Welcome, my name is Jon and I run JCE Electrical.
As a fully qualified electrician with over 10 years experience, I offer a friendly, reliable and comprehensive electrical service across Colchester and the surrounding areas and specialise in electrical installation and maintenance to domestic and commercial properties.
I spent 3 years at the Colchester institute whilst training on the job and gaining valuable experience from other well known electricians in the area.
I am qualified to Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology Installations (Buildings and Structures), and have, this year (2019), updated my qualifications to the current 18th Edition in the Requirements for Eletrical Installations under City & Guilds. I am Part P registered and able to certify my own work where required in relation to building control.

Most of my work is from repeat customers or word of mouth recommendations, as I do my best make sure my customer is happy from start to finish. I take pride in what I do and always strive to put my customers requirements first.
I’m often complimented on my work effic and tidiness and always do my best to keep mess to a minimum, even though some of the work electricians do can be a very messy job.
I am a clean and tidy person and pride myself on looking after my customers and their homes. My goal is that once you have used me for a job, I will be the first person you contact with any future needs. Even if unsure the job is for me, I should be able to point you in the right direction or advise one way or other.
I love to see a job at completion knowing my customer is going to be happy for years to come and of course from this re-use and recommend me to others.

From changing a light fitting, changing a fuse board or wiring an extension to rewiring a full house. I’m always happy to help and there is no charge for asking the question.
My rates of pay are very competitive when compared to other electricians in the area, but please be aware that there are electricians and there are electricians. You get what you pay for.
I do my best to quote a price without having to add extras at the end of a job and will talk you through exactly what is required to achieve your goals. If you receive a much cheaper quote, please talk to me as all may not be as it seems.
